Live Fibre Detector
FiberLert quickly detects if your fibre optic cable or port is emitting light.
Simply disconnect the suspect connection and place the FiberLert up close – it doesn’t have to touch – if light is sensed then FiberLert beeps and displays a solid red glow.
How can FiberLert help?
- It’s pocket sized and requires no set up
- Detects optical power in single-mode and multi-mode fibre wavelengths (850 to 1625nm)
- The “non-contact” detector reduces the risk of contamination and damage
- Suitable for ports and patch cords, SingleMode, MultiMode, UPC and APC connections, plus you can test transceivers too
- LED flashes to indicate operation and battery status; powers off after five minutes to preserve battery (2xAAA, included)
- Two-year warranty
