Planning for a new WiFi install

In order to ensure there's full coverage, its always best to draft a proper plan. The building's construction and wall types will need to be assessed, along with any large internal furniture/machinery that may impede signal propagation, so we typically visit site first in order to evaluate the spaces and materials.

This data is uploaded, along with specifications and a design created that details the number of Access Points required with their locations. Our report will also include predictive signal maps showing the coverage once the APs are installed, plus any recommendations to aid best performance.

Surveying an existing Wireless Network

When there are complaints about the WiFi or you want to verify performance, you'll need a survey. Surveying requires us to walk the entire space, around every room, capturing signal data along the way with our specialist tools.

Our report will include colour coded heat maps showing the current coverage per floor and analysis of any issues found (Network / Channel / AP / rogue device / interference). We'll plan or re-design any areas where coverage is outside the specification, and include advice for install and/or to improve performance.
