10Gig Network Tester, with WiFi too!
EtherScope nXG is the latest product release from the team that were originally part of Fluke Networks, then Netscout and now operate as a new company branded NetAlly.
Designed to help network engineers verify, discover and troubleshoot both wired and wireless networks up to 10G, the product supports NBASE-T, 10G and Wi-Fi 6/6E (802.11ax). Plus, new features for troubleshooting wireless include WiFi survey and performance tests!
For the very first time, data gathered from the wired and wireless networks is displayed simultaneously, allowing you to see the full picture irrelevant of how the user connects!
And like the LinkRunner G2, the EtherScope nXG is based on an Android platform, combining the advantages of a powerful network tester with the convenience of a smart device interface and third party Apps.
AutoTest profiles simplify verification of network health, configuration and services. Whilst in the background the discovery and advanced feature set enable assessment and documentation of complex network deployments with multiple VLANs and Wi-Fi SSIDs.
For those looking to perform a wireless survey, the new AirMapper Survey feature was added in April 2020. Just upload your floor plans and click on the screen as you walk to capture WiFi measurements. Then simply upload the results to your Link-Live.com account to create coloured signal strength heat maps & filter on the data.
OneTouch or OptiView users will recognise valuable network tests such as path analysis, 10G link performance, iPerf test, 24-hour back-in-time traffic analysis, cable test and packet capture. The auto upload to Link-Live (the free online cloud portal) provides shared access to collate results from multiple testers, for remote analysis of the data, documentation and reporting.
Nov 2020 – Link-Live.com has been updated to include the ability to automatically draw Topology Maps – for both wired and wireless – based on the information gathered by the EtherScope’s network discovery engine. You can even export your map to Microsoft Visio!
Jan 2021 – NetAlly release EtherScope® nXG v1.4 & Link-Live™ v5.9 as part of their AirMapper Site Survey Ecosystem – which includes the ability to Manage Floor Plans across all devices and perform Active Surveys. Read the full update here.
