Wireless Design Tools

Whether designing a brand new wireless install, or plugging holes in your existing network, Ekahau enables you to create a successful predictive plan. You’ll need floor plans and information on the building materials, but you can specify key design metrics automatically, such as:

• Minimum signal coverage
• Secondary signal coverage levels for resilience
• Support for key business services from Warehouse operations to Unified Comms
• Access Points and antennas – there are hundreds to choose from

Wireless Survey Capability

Most organisations have some sort of WiFi in place, but lately its become an essential to have fast, reliable service everywhere in the building. Troubleshooting can be tricky, hence performing a survey, to show a heat map view of the wireless coverage is a very important part of understanding how your current WiFi is operating. The survey project data is easily sync’d back to the cloud portal, enabling collaboration with colleagues anywhere in the world. You’ll get valuable data on areas that need to be addressed, such as:

• Holes or gaps in the signal coverage
• Interference issues
• Channel and power conflicts
• Unknown and unwanted SSIDs

Ekahau Sidekick

The Ekahau Sidekick is a small hardware device that’s used in connection with a laptop or tablet to bring consistency and accuracy to the gathering of wireless data.

It’s custom built tech with multiple antennas is much better enabled to capture reliable signal information, and in much greater detail for analysis and troubleshooting, compared to survey’s performed using the standard WiFi card in your mobile device. Sidekick can also perform the spectrum analysis functions, whilst you are simultaneously surveying, saving time.

Ekahau – standard package for new customers

The price shown on this page includes the 3 key product components listed below:

• Ekahau AI Pro Software – which is a one off purchase.
• Ekahau Sidekick 2 – the hardware component for capturing the data.
• Ekahau Connect – this is a 1 Year annual subscription, which includes the Ekahau Cloud, Insights, Survey & Analyzer Apps, technical support and software upgrades for Ekahau AI Pro. This element will require renewal each year.

Please note: A laptop/tablet is required to run the software whilst performing the survey, this is not included.

Ekahau – additional options

• The Sidekick 2 can be purchased separately for anyone looking to upgrade from Sidekick 1.
• Optional extended warranty and a hard case are also available for the Sidekick 2.
• For those customers with an existing Ekahau AI Pro licence, who have additional staff performing surveys, then Ekahau Measure is available to purchase – which is a licence for an Ekahau Survey Mobile App for iOS/Android (note that an additional Sidekick will also need to be purchased).
