For those installing fibre cabling, the CertiFiber PRO from Fluke Networks is the perfect tool for certifying the installation. Or perhaps for fibre runs that were installed some time ago and their capability needs a re-check before being connected up to run a new service.

The CertiFiber Optical Loss Test Set provides Tier 1 certification for all industry standards (such as ISO/IEC).

Using the touch screen interface, the ProjX™ management system makes it simple to set up your project. All the test standards are built in, just select from the list. Setting the reference is easy too using the handy wizard, then you’re ready to test.

Automatic Pass/Fail analysis is included, including clear details of the fibres and their parameters on the large colour screen.

All results can be simply uploaded to the LinkWare software/cloud service, where you can easily collate the data and produce reports.

Which model do I need?

The CertiFiber comes with a mainframe plus remote chassis, and the OTLS modules which slot into the back of each unit. You have the choice of Single-Mode modules, MultiMode or the “Quad” modules which contain both Single-Mode and MultiMode.

You can also choose to buy just the CertiFiber modules if you plan to use them with your existing Versiv main/remote. And, remember to check which connector types you need (SC/LC/ST) to ensure you have the correct Test Reference Cords.

As part of the Versiv family, the modules are hot swappable. Meaning you can interchange with the DSX copper certification modules or the OptiFiber OTDR module if you need fibre troubleshooting with distance to fault.

Optional annual support is available, which covers warranty repair (including inbox accessories), annual calibration, software updates and technical assistance.
