Allegro Packets offer fast and affordable network troubleshooting. Their Network Multimeter appliances start from £5k for portable troubleshooting or remote networks, and go all the way up to enterprise rackmount solutions for the Data Centre.

All units offer the same GUI, the same features and there are no hidden extra options or modules to buy, which ever unit you choose all functionality is available to you. The choice of appliance is all about connectivity, processing power and memory. All Allegro appliances can be deployed in less than 60 seconds with almost no set up required. 

By analysing and correlating all data across network layers 2 to 7, detailed insight is provided for both real-time network traffic and historic. Network problems can be detected with just a few clicks, performance bottlenecks identified and packet losses detected.

With a user-friendly interface the search function allows you to sort, search and filter by MAC or IP addresses, ports, VLANs, TCP handshakes, HTTP latency and more. Drill down and extract as a pcap – reducing Wireshark analysis to just the specific traffic of interest. The availability of historic data means it’s simple to look back, see what happened and discover who/what was the culprit.

Which appliance do I need?

Allegro Packets offer a range of appliances – a mixture of portable and rackmounted – that can be flexibly integrated at almost any point in the network (on the mirror port, tap or as a bridge) and accessed directly or remotely.

We’ve outlined a few below starting from the entry models. But rest assured, their range goes all the way up to suit those that need to debug 12 million packets a second – yes there is one customer with an Allegro doing just that! All models include first year of Support.

Allegro 500 & 510

The smallest models are the very portable 500 & 510. Pricing is in the region of £5-7k (and available to purchase below).

The Allegro 500 comes with 4 x 1Gbps copper ports, 4GB or 8GB internal memory, and optional external hard disk or SSD can be connected via USB 3.

The newer 510 is the same size as the 500 but offers 2.5Gbps copper connectivity, with 2 x 1Gbps & 2 x 2.5Gbps ports, 16GB internal memory and optional SSD.

Allegro 810 / 1010 / 3010 series

Next comes the 810 model (released April 2025 to replace the 800). Designed for slightly larger networks it comes with copper & fibre network connections spanning from 1Gbps to 25Gbps. Available as a portable unit or rackmount.

As part of the 810 / 1010 / 3010 series, both the ports and memory can be expanded with a range of options. Prices start around £10k, but depends on the options selected, as each model can be configured to suit the customer requirement.

Allegro x210 / x310 / x410 / x510 series

At the top of the range, these rackmount models offer very high performance speeds and much larger packet storage.

New! Multi-Hop Path Measurement

Latency and packet loss are recorded and evaluated for each individual hop between configured measurement points. Easily identify which hop is causing the bottleneck for packets traversing multiple segments in the network!
