Regional bank improves customer service and prevents network downtime
Problem: The CIO at a regional bank wanted a proactive network management solution that could spot problems and alert the IT staff immediately if a problem arises. With so much of their banking Internet-based, they couldn’t afford to have any of their systems go down.
Solution: The bank placed the OptiView Analyzer semi-permanently on a network link at the main branch office. While other tools provide visibility into the network segment between the switch and the router, the OptiView provided the bank’s IT staff with much broader visibility, enabling them to see across the routers into all branches.
Savings: Reduced remote site travel, prevented network downtime and improved customer service.

Bank secured network and eliminated consultant fees –saving $20,000 a year
Problem: Each quarter in accordance with FDIC requirements, the bank hired a third party consultant to inspect its network for security violations.
Solution: With the OptiView Analyzer using free string match and deep protocol recognition, they were able to scan the network for potential violations prior to audits and close any holes found in the security.
Savings: This saved an estimated $5,000 per quarter.
