Aggregation Taps

In-Line Monitoring of Full Duplex Traffic with a Single Receive Device.

Link Aggregation is a technology that combines a bi-directional full duplex data transmission into one single stream of data. An identical copy of this single stream of data can then be sent to any connected monitoring device. The connected monitoring device can receive the entire full duplex conversation with a single network interface card (NIC). Also a key element in VoIP recording Soluions or VoIP Monitoring.

Link Aggregation differs from traditional In-Line monitoring with network taps or SPAN ports because those methods transmit full duplex traffic in independent streams of data to the monitoring device. The conected monitoring device must then have a dual-receive monitor card capable of receiving both sides of the full duplex conversation and the ability to aggregate the traffic internally once it is received.

Datacom Systems' SINGLEstream Link Aggregation Taps provide a superior solution for 24x7 monitoring of full-duplex Ethernet links. Unlike traditional taps, the technology allows you to see both the send and receive channels into a single output - enabling you to see all the traffic.

Our SINGLEstream aggregation taps also have two monitoring ports so two monitor devices can receive both channels! Also there is no need to mirror ports on your switches, and as a result you won't overload the switch through asking it to do extra work. The range of taps we can offer is extensive, listed below are all the models we have available, there is sure to be one to fit your requirements.
